When she was two, Fiona regularly said "Talk about it more!" to express her desire to know more about whatever we were discussing.

Some like it hot

I make a ridiculously easy crockpot meal that consists of chicken breasts, black beans, and a killer delicious green salsa made predominately of green chiles, tomatillos, and jalapeƱos. It's medium hot, but rice usually cools it down enough for general family consumption. Up until now, though, Fiona and Nora have been content to simply eat the chicken and the occasional black beans out of the concoction.

But yesterday as Fiona watched me eat the last couple bites of leftovers by scooping beans using tortilla chips, she decided she was game. Any meal that can include tortilla chips can't be all bad, right?

As it turns out, Fiona's taste buds are growing right along with her, because she ate most of the remaining meal. She said, "I don't LOVE it, Mom. But I do like it now. A lot." Will wonders never cease?
