3-2-1- compost!

Today's a day we've been working toward for quite some time-- we built our compost bin! The neighbors, who have been studying gardening topics with us for quite some time, helped us put it in. We're really excited and are looking forward to using our leftovers in a new way as much as we're eagerly anticipating the rich, black soil we'll get for our Garden Experiment.

I am so impressed! You sure didn't let any grass grow under your feet, did you, about this composting thing! Congrats from Granny...

Well, in this case there really wasn't much to it. It was more bother to step over the supplies lying around than to just tap it in together. Plus now we can use it! But yes, thank you. We are pleased.

Don't forget tea leaves and coffee grounds for nitrogen. And you can even toss in the coffee filter, since they biodegrade quickly.

But you probably already knew that.

Didn't think about the tea leaves. Thanks!
